Response of the Catholicos of Holy Etchmiadzin to the Anti-Armenian Oriented Event Organized by Azerbaijan in Rome<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">On April 10 of this year, at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and under the initiative of the Azerbaijani Embassy along with several Azerbaijani organizations, an event entitled \u201cChristianity in Azerbaijan: History and Modernity\u201d was held.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, by the initiative of the Azerbaijani propaganda machine, another attempt was made to deny the Armenian character of the historical and cultural heritage of Armenia and Artsakh, and to distort historical realities for the ulterior purpose of eventual appropriation.<\/p>\n<p>All of this is unfolding while the international community fails to duly recognize the genocide perpetrated by Azerbaijan, the fundamental rights of the Armenian nation that have been trampled upon in Artsakh, the inhumane and degrading actions against Armenian soldiers held in prisons in Baku, and the blatant looting and annihilation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh.<\/p>\n<p>We deeply regret that a Catholic higher education institution has been granted permission to organize such an anti-Armenian event.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, the Catholicos of Holy Etchmiadzin will, within the context of inter-church communication, undertake all necessary measures.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/story.php?story_fbid=1110383341130583&#038;id=100064767818393\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored
